Joanne Davis has been involved in her community for over 30 years, through both her employment and her work with non-profit organizations. Her 20-year career in banking operations and quality management (working at Key Financial, Equitable Bank, Maryland National Bank, and Provident Bank) provided a strong background in organizational development and process improvement. Joanne was also the Administrator of Howard County’s Office of Personnel under former County Executive Chuck Ecker, where she developed and chaired the Partnership for a Quality Community, an organization formed to help county government to be more effective and efficient. Joanne then joined the University of Maryland’s Center for Quality and Productivity in which role she managed the U.S. Senate’s Productivity Awards program.

In 2008 Joanne joined with four others to form Synergies Consulting Group, a local consulting firm that worked with non-profits and others to help them achieve their missions and goals. In the Howard County community, Joanne has chaired the Boards for Leadership Howard County, National Family Resiliency Center, MakingChange, and Howard Community College’s 2nd Commission of the Future.
